I'm Back!

Blimey, it’s been forever since I last posted, hasn’t it? Sorry, I’m afraid I’m not a very good blogger. To be honest, since the last post the weather has been mainly atrocious and so I did the only sensible thing a winter-hater could do — I buried myself indoors with a decent supply of Kent & Sussex Tea & Coffee Co.’s Winter Tea (you’ll remember I raved about it in my last review) in an attempt to hibernate until Spring came.

But then Bluebird Tea Co. (who are changing their name shortly to Bird & Blend Tea Co. — click on the link to read why if you're interested) released their Spring Collection of teas, the sun came back (very briefly) and suddenly all felt right with the world again (until the Rice Pudding + Jam tea turned up — but that’s a story for another time).

I had intended to blog last week to coincide with National Tea Day, but unfortunately, disaster struck in the form of a migraine, which as we know means no tea drinking for me unless it’s the Cinderella teabags from Adagio (which I had sadly run out of). But now I’m just about fully recovered and ready to post my review of the first tea from the Spring Collection — Peach Cobbler. Go check it out, and then go try the tea.

Let’s hope the sun comes back soon. I’m sure I would have enjoyed it greatly if I hadn’t been hiding away in the dark, trying to stifle the pain.

Also, while I’m in the mood for full disclosure I have to admit that I still haven’t tried any of the matchas in the Bluebird Advent Calendar (I see I have until July/August to use them so there’s still time yet) despite having finally received my frother (I haven’t used that either so it was well worth the money so far).

I think partially it’s because I already know I’m unlikely to like any of them so it seems a lot of trouble to go to just to throw the drink away, but also because I’m pretty lazy and can’t be bothered to go to the trouble of making a latte when a splash of milk works perfectly well in normal tea.

I really must do better!
